It really needs to be a quality build when super long front equipment is working in tough and complex digging and demolition applications. Long reach excavator attachments are subjected to continuous forces as they rigorously scoop, hammer, pinch, pick, crush, cut, and carry heavy materials all day, every day. Every weld, every cut, and every material choice must meet the highest standards to ensure maximum durability, performance, and operational safety.
This 30-meter long arm package was custom-built for a Hitachi EX1200 excavator, designed specifically for a demanding dredging application. To achieve the necessary strength and reliability, ENSTRUC selected SSAB Strenx 700 high-strength structural steel, known for its exceptional load-bearing capacity, toughness, and resistance to fatigue. This material choice ensures that the long front equipment can maintain its structural integrity and withstand repeated heavy loads under extreme operating conditions.
Long reach arm manufacturing with ENSTRUC is managed and controlled according to ISO9001 quality management standards and ISO14001 environmental management standards, ensuring consistency, safety, and environmental responsibility throughout the manufacturing process. Every stage of production is carefully executed, beginning with cutting steel plates to precise dimensions and chamfering bevels to prepare for strong welds. Assembly and auto-welding are performed with great accuracy, followed by boring holes for precise pin and bushing fitment.
Final welding is then inspected by independent SGS-certified welding inspectors to ensure compliance with strict quality requirements. After welding approval, hydraulic pipe lines are installed, and the entire assembly undergoes thorough shot-blasting to clean and prepare the surface for painting. Each long reach package receives a final inspection before being coated with a premium paint system for outstanding corrosion protection.
